Badass Win!

The LSN Fantasy Football final lived up to the hype! The Ultimate Badasses came in as a surprising underdog despite an 11-3 record during the regular season but defeated the Red Storm on the final play of Monday Night Football with some major help from the Philly defense in the second half. It was an absolute shocker as the Red Storm thought they had it all wrapped up. The win gives the Ultimate Badasses the ultimate prize!

But, how did we get there?

Nate's Red Storm had strung together seven straight wins after a 2-6 start in which even he thought his playoff hopes were gone. After signing free agent Quarterback and NFL surprise of the year, Jared Goff, the Red Storm began a major comeback in the division going from last to first and taking the #2 seed into the playoffs. During his stretch of seven wins he defeated rival Brian McDougall three times including once to open the post-season and he even knocked off the Badasses in week thirteen, the same week he made some major trades with Webbahsarewinnahs to get Le'Veon Bell and Dak Prescott.

After knocking off McDougall in week fourteen, the Storm signed free agent Aaron Rodgers for the first round of the playoffs. Rodgers helped the Storm again defeat McDougall to advance to the final.

The Badasses dominated the league from week two on after a week one loss to Brian McDougall. They put up a 6-1 record against rival Tyler's Tip Top Team and ended the season with a 1-1 record against eventual final competitor Red Storm.

In that final, it was neck and neck until the end. Both teams battled it out, even before the game making big trades. The Storm picked up Tyreek Hill while the Badasses traded for Zeke. The drama took place on Christmas when it looked like Bell and DeAndre Hopkins were going to have terrible games. In the end, after a shocking catch by Hopkins in the endzone and a late touchdown by Bell the Red Storm took a seventeen point lead. It looked to be all but over until the Badasses with the Philly defense the only thing left on their roster came out on all cylinders in the second half of their game against the Raiders, going from four first half points to twenty-one to end the game. A win for the Badasses in shocking fashion and a title.

Congratulations to the first ever LEEIB Sports Network Fantasy Football Champions - The Ultimate Badasses!

We hope to see you all back next year for season two!!!
